Just a comment on the weight loss thing: While it is true that consuming less calories than you burn up should lead to weight loss, eating anything you want to lose weight might not be the healthiest way to go. I have a griddle and instead of pouring oil into a frying pan I spray a bit of oil on my griddle, grill the sliced onions, peppers whatever. They give off enough moisture that you can just put them into the un-oiled frying pan and proceed with the recipe minus a bunch of calories..

Who says you shouldn’t eat less than 1800 kcals? Under normal circumstances, the minimum is 1200 for women, 1500 for men, and height and weight have no bearing – these are what the body requires to avoid starvation. This diet is, however, for 7 days only, it is not intended as a long-term weight-loss strategy, so 6 days at less than 1500 won’t do you any harm. You don’t say how tall you are, or what you do for a living, which would also have a bearing on your long-term weight-loss plans. Good luck with it, anyway – it’s not easy

Researchers at the University of Illinois Medical School examined the science behind this discovery. The scientists examined 3193 overweight volunteers with an average weight of 217 pounds. The participants were given inhalers that contained peppermint and were instructed to use it every two hours over a 6-month period.  The participants who consistently used the inhalers lost and average of 2% body weight each month.
