Directions: Rinse 1 cup of quinoa in cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine quinoa with 1 tablespoon curry powder and 1 teaspoon turmeric. Add 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth and bring to a boil. Often when I evaluate clients' food journals, I find that they aren't losing weight because their nutrient intake exceeds their needs.
